PA NORTHUMBERLAND — Council approves police labor deal, lifts open container ordinance for block party. The Northumberland Council unanimously approved the Police Collective Bargaining Agreement at its March 3 meeting while denying a lease amendment request from the Central Susquehanna Riverboat Society, with Solicitor Melissa Kelso and the Borough's Insurance Agent recommending the borough maintain a $2 million liability insurance policy at the high-traffic public park site. The Council also unanimously approved eight community events for 2026, including a September 6 Block Party from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and voted to temporarily lift the Open Container Ordinance for that event.

The Council approved property boundary adjustments through the Eisenhower Subdivision and the Latsha Sewage Module DEP filing.
